It’s been awhile (much too long) but one of the great pleasures of my life has been snowshoeing with friends and family primarily in the magnificent mountains of the West. The soft stillness, scent of the forest, beauty at every step. Winding through silent groves of alder, pine, juniper, sequoia, along frozen streams, around snow-rimmed lakes. Ice paradise. Heaven.
A small selection of memorable ‘shoeing.
