Forest, B&W


As a life-long West Coast guy, it took a few years to appreciate Eastern forests.  Now, what used to seem “drab, grey and dead” has a beauty in every season.  Fall and Winter, when foliage is mostly gone, the forest is naked, open, revealing more mountain surprises.

These images may seem gloomy, bleak, even frightening, yet I find Black and White highlights the natural invitation to curious wonder … What’s out there?

And, we humans seem so distracted by color …
