This weekend’s column asks a critical question:
Does It Really Matter What We Believe?
As the column stresses:
“Surely it matters a great deal. Beliefs can be helpful, healthy and lead to happiness, or they can be unhelpful, unhealthy, harmful and cause unhappiness.”
Thanks Chris. This question has loomed large for me. If Tolerance is the doorway, questioning is the key.
Right, Jim, questions should always be knocking at the doors of belief. Be well.
Great question that cuts on both sides like a sword. A person’s believe can be helpful or unhelpful. Helpful if you gain something positive and useless if it can’t help.
Thanks for your comment, Peter. Yes, there can be a sharp division in the effects of belief.
