Here’s a sneak peek at this coming weekend’s column. . .
Goodall’s Gospel: The Hopeful Philosophy of Jane Goodall
In 2021 Goodall published “The Book of Hope.” A reviewer on NPR quotes her: “there are many people leading ethical lives, working to help others, who are neither religious nor spiritual” (NPR, October 19, 2021). This fits well with her comment about atheists: “A life lived in the service of humanity [with] a love and respect for all living things” is all that matters.
Let me know what you think of the column, in the Citizen-Times and/or posted here.
