A strong breeze blew this poem into the “holler” of my head …
“Am I an April’s Fool?”
I think it’s snowing
Whirling, swirling
curls of soft white
Windblown, far-flown
flowers of the sky
I see now
upon closer observation
there are fast-flying flakes
mingled among
drifts of downy petals
Pear, cherry
clouds of pale blossoms
dropped from spring trees
and dark branching clouds
Now I know …
it is snow.

Hello Chris. I think my favorite form of snow is the accumulation of the cherry and apple blossoms on the ground next to my apartment. It is warmer, lighter and full of Spring. Just glad I don’t have to gather them up in my leisure.
I hear you, Marty. I like both kinds of “snow” but I don’t have to touch them, just watch and appreciate!
