Jung Trees

As a tree-loving person who grew up in the Evergreen State (Washington), rooted among the redwoods for many years (California) and branching out into the ocean of trees called the Blue Ridge Mountains, I greatly appreciate this quote a friend sent me from Carl Jung:

“Trees in particular were mysterious and seemed to me direct embodiments of the incomprehensible meaning of life. For that reason the woods were the place where I felt closest to its deepest meaning and to its awe-inspiring workings.”
