The Gospel According to Humanism

Blue Ridge Center for Lifelong Learning
Spring 2025
2-sessions
Tuesdays, March 18, 25, 10-12

Course Description

Humanism is a philosophy of life that centers responsibility for human community squarely on humanity. Guided by a “good without a god” principle, it is not anti-religious or cultish, but emphasizes ethical living, reason, science, care for the environment and education. In this class, we will engage humanist thinkers and ideas to raise up the positive contribution of non-religious people who have a “gospel” (good news) that many people of faith may accept and applaud.
