Atheist Kids?

  1. I’m not confident you stick to the subject of “being born an atheist”. Though you acknowledge babies are not born with an inherent religious belief, you go on to draw conclusions that have little to nothing to do with the necessity of becoming a believer in some divine law giver and creator. For example, “loving others” or having the freedom to choose is NOT necessarily something that needfully must proceed from a faith in a higher power. If you’re a “true” humanist, a person who believes in the intrinsic value of human life and rights, you would not feel the need for a divine power.

  2. One more point… the “wonder” of human life are the opportunities [options] the “real” world provides and those opportunities are premised upon empirical evidences. And to live a “rational” life our choices should be conditioned upon what is known about the empirical universe. Not what we want to believe and instead what is independent [of our own minds] and deeply rooted in the external universe.
